By now we should be armed up with some experience from the "gallery tour" and the classes, how to begin with an exhibition and what to do to start off.
In our case this seems to be a bit complicated, as I have experienced in class. This is may be the result of little former planning, or written agreement. In my view, we should next time put down the main points of the concept and discuss them together, write down all the ideas and select the best fitting one, not for everybody but for the project!
About the exhibition plan in the café, I firstly think of arrangemenet matters in space and then in feasibility. My view is that covering windows is dangerous stuff, for a space, where in spring time people sit out and see nothing inside and vs. inside-out, the permission from the bar staff whose bsuiness is to provide drinks for people inside/outside as well, the other upcoming notice is that if we put photos against strong ligth without any background they will gloom in a strange white colour with the label seen in the photoside of the maker of the photopaper.
I'm sorry not to have contribted too much good news, but the situation of unagrement in the class makes me reschedule my feelings towards group dynamics.

Gallery Tour
Again a field trip has made up our class, which in this subject is undoubtedly a useful and practical as well as educative.
First, we have seen a low budget photo exhibition at Gödör, which as I have counted consisted of 50-60 photographes, aesthetically arranged on a black drapery with wires and IKEA frames. This surprisingly should cost with printing 50-70.ooo HUF... compared to LUMU's 4 million budget for video art however this is a little amount, but usually paid by the artist(s)!
Second, we went to a 0 budget exhibit, in a café, where only wall space and a limited publicity was granted to the artist and his works. Nice to see, nice to have such thing, but should step further->
intooo a spacial place which is called 'BARAK', a place where artists established an open environment, at least they claim that, however the closed doors were not so convincing to me whether we should enter the place at any time of the day. The one-room artists' show room was arranged arround a ping-pong table and coaches were placed arround the room to enjoy the view of various contemporary installments. Basic purpose of the place was in my view to educate and involve people, mostly artists, into the spirit of their gallery.
Next, we have seen a practically enteriored, small gallery for contemporary works again. There were on show from any size of paintings to photographs, sculpture, video art and even jewevelerry was in plan as well for the near future. In my view this place was not lost, but in search for their stlye, type and main field of interest, when they find it and the right artists, they can take off really.
Last, but not least we have the G-13 gallery, a well-established, structured and in all cases a professional gallery. The main aim of all this neatness is to trade with the artworks. According to this aim, they built up a gallery which really has eligible condition, so that the rooms can be adjused to the works installed in them. The guide to us was, professional, both in knowledge about the works and in his language skills as well, just the one that a foreigner client would need and like to have. Of course from the sales, the full-budget is to be and should be made in order to fulfill all the requrements of the public, who wants to see a high standar exhibition and the prospect who appriciates the neatly organised and strutured places.
